Welcome to a Page 6B of my VERNONCONN website.
Here are photos of :

The Rockville Preservation Society's Exhibit:
"A HISTORY OF ROCKVILLE & ITS PEOPLE"
presently held at the Civil War Museum located in the
Town Hall Building,
Second Floor.

The Rockville Preservation Society is dedicated to the Preservation of the Identity and History of the City of Rockville, Connecticut. The Alden Skinner Camp #45, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War have been active within the community for over 111 years. The Civil War Museum is located at Park Place in the Rockville Town HalI.

Many of the photos are copies from private citizens who have added to the presentation.  The Exhibit is becoming diversified with the addition of items weekly including the new Children Teaching Children program.

The Exhibit consists also of music and photos of Rockville's great musical heritage.  Examples are: Max Kabrick, Gene Pitney, the RHS Band, WGAF and Stitch In Time.  These are only to name a few. Come listen and take a "Sentimental Journey". Please check with Civil War Museum to see if the exhibit is still the same.

Do you have any old photographs of Rockville? and would you like to give a copy of the photograph to The Rockville Preservation Society?  The Society is looking for copies of old photographs and they would be appreciated.

The Vernon Historical Society is also looking for copies of old photographs.  See my links list to view their website.
